Accessibility of products

GMR ENLIGHTS products have been developed to facilitate accessibility and maintenance.
Most fixtures can be opened and internal components can be replaced without the use of tools.
In some cases, specific accessibility solutions have been developed without compromising the product design by implementing the best technical solution.

TIMELESS
Fixture can be opened and regenerated, internal components can be replaced WITHOUT the use of tools.

OPENABLE
Fixture can be opened and regenerated, internal components can be replaced WITH the use of tools.

COMPACT
Sealed fixture, supplied with quick connector for immediate installation.

Optical technologies

GMR ENLIGHTS has a comprehensive technical know-how that has enabled it to design and develop different optical technologies for LED lighting fixtures.
Each optical system has specific peculiarities and benefits.
The choice of the best available optical system is determined according to the lighting design, application or selected product.

GLASSED
Refractive optical system composed of single-chip LEDs, PMMA lenses under warranty for 30 years against UV and yellowing due to ageing, aluminium recuperator with purity level at 99.7% and extra clear tempered glass.

GLASS-FREE
Refractive optical system composed of single-chip LEDs, PMMA IP66 and IK09 lenses with high impact resistance and under warranty for 30 years against UV and yellowing due to ageing (without glass).

REFLEXA
Reflective optical system composed of single-chip LEDs, extra pure aluminium reflector with silver PDV treatment and extra clear tempered glass.

Quality of finishes

SALT SPRAY TEST 8000h – ISO 9227

The external finishes of all GMR ENLIGHTS lighting fixtures ensure maximum durability even in extreme conditions, such as near the sea or in particularly corrosive areas.
The surface finishing and coating have been carefully researched and tested throughout the years, with a constant work of comparison with suppliers.
The result is an unprecedented success: 8000hrs salt spray tests certification (equivalent to more than 11 months of continuous testing) according to ISO 9227, awarded by third party laboratory.

Quality of fixing systems

VIBRATION TEST – IEC 60068-2-6

GMR ENLIGHTS fixtures have passed the strict Vibration Test in accordance with IEC 60068-2-6 at specific critical frequency for motorised traffic environments.
The test certifies the mechanical strength of the lighting fixture and its fixing system to the pole, validating the product quality including its electrical components and wiring.

Supports high operating temperature

ENEC Ta CERTIFIED UP TO +55°C

GMR ENLIGHTS fixtures have obtained the European ENEC certification at a working ambient temperature Ta -40°C and up to +55°C.
The low temperature at which the LED chip works is a key factor for increasing the lifetime of our products and proves how much care we take into developing and improving heat dissipation design.

High ingress protection and impact resistance

IP66 AND UP TO IK10

GMR ENLIGHTS fixtures are ENEC certified and are rated IP66 for the protection against intrusion of dust and water, and up to IK10 for resistance to external mechanical impacts (equivalent to 20J of impact energy).
The products that don’t reach IK10 are rated IK09 (equivalent to 10J of impact energy).

Protection against electrostatic and overvoltage discharge

UP TO 12kV/kA

GMR ENLIGHTS lighting fixtures are designed with precise dielectric strength to ensure that the LED module is constantly protected against electrostatic overvoltage.
On request, an additional SPD (Surge Protection Device) can be fitted to protect the entire lighting fixture from overvoltage peaks of up to 12kV/kA.

Quality of the LED chip

COLOUR CONSISTENCY ≤ 3 step MacAdam

GMR ENLIGHTS fixtures use the best LEDs on the market, paying particular attention to efficiency, light quality and colour.
Working closely with the manufacturers, we have identified and approved an exclusive selection of LEDs that ensures a colour consistency ≤ 3 step MacAdam.

Visual comfort – Low Glare

GMR ENLIGHTS optical systems are designed and developed to ensure maximum visual comfort including minimising the typical LED point effect, that are critical factors to consider when designing for historical towns or city centres that have low mounted lighting points.

LED life expectancy

All GMR ENLIGHTS products utilise LED modules that provide the best life expectancy for the fixture, with a typical lumen depreciation value of L90B10 100,000hrs (LM80 – TM21 approved tests).

Photobiological safety

RG0 (EXEMPT RISK GROUP)

All GMR ENLIGHTS LED fixtures are certified RG0 (Exempt Risk Group) according to IEC/TR62471 standard for photobiological safety.

Compliance with light pollution regulations

CUT OFF AND ITALIAN REGIONAL LAWS

GMR ENLIGHTS fixtures are designed and manufactured to avoid or limit light pollution and reduce energy loss: all our street lighting fixtures are Cut Off and compliant with the Italian Regional Laws on light pollution.

Environmental sustainability and respect for the circular economy

GMR ENLIGHTS devices are designed and manufactured according to the circular economy, an increasingly important aspect of the global environmental impact policies.
All products comply with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) – (Italian Decree DM 27 September 2017, G.U. n°244 of 18 October 2017) and provide the highest grades of IPEA* energy classification.
