Reflexa, our led technology harnessing the power of optical reflection, is now even more efficient

Over the past few months, our team has focused on optimizing the optical system applied to LED luminaires for street, urban, functional, and sports lighting.
The goal of the work was to make the optical system more efficient to reduce the economic and energy costs of lighting installations while increasing the environmental and ecological benefits.

How Reflexa works

Reflexa is a reflective optical system studied, designed, and engineered entirely in-house.

The system is composed of single-chip LED, an aluminum reflector, and high-transmittance extra-clear tempered glass. It harnesses the reflection effect to optimize light distribution: the aluminum reflector captures and directs the light emitted by the LED, controlling its distribution

The aluminum reflector plays a crucial role in the system: the elements that enable the control of light emission are the reflector’s geometry, but above all, the physical characteristics of the material from which it is made and the surface treatments to which it is subjected.

The optimization of the reflector

For our reflectors, we have selected a material with a highly reflective surface texture, specifically chosen to adapt to the type of light source and to evenly distribute light on horizontal and vertical planes.

Our reflectors are made of MIRO aluminum coated with a layer of silver that reflects up to 98% of light. The surface treatment increases their durability and makes them resistant to the aggressive effects of weather and atmospheric agents.

What we have improved

The choice of this material has led to significant improvements:

  1. Maximum Efficiency of the optical system:
    The use of high-quality material in combination with the reflector’s geometry has enhanced the efficiency of optical systems. Thanks to the new highly reflective surface texture, Reflexa offers a more uniform and efficient light distribution.
  2. Increased overall device efficiency
    The modifications have contributed to increasing the overall efficiency of our devices, which has allowed for reduced management costs for installations.
  3. Enhanced visual comfort and superior color quality
    The introduction of MIRO aluminum has improved visual comfort for a more pleasant and comfortable lighting experience with brighter and more accurate colors.
  4. Greater recyclability at end of life
    We have increased the amount of recyclable material in our devices with a focus on a circular economy.
